Lauren Rooney and Nick Pearson, a couple from Britain, decided to use their 3D printers and design sterile face shields for the doctors and pharmacists from the NHS and to assist them by proving protection in the fight against COVID-19.
After they have received a great number of demands for the face shields, they have bought two more printers. Nick told the Yorkshire Evening Post that they have four printers now.
He has also set up a GoFundMe page and the money that he will raise will be invested in new 3D printers.
With the donations, Nick and Lauren could increase the production to about a hundred face shields daily.
Nick also stated that they just want to help people stay safe. He also advised other people to see what they are good at and offer their help to get through the pandemic easily.
